Privacy Policy

TLNA is point of sale software for nail and beauty salons. This policy explains what information the TLNA app collects, why, and the choices salons, staff and clients have. "We" means TLNA. "Salon" means a business that uses TLNA.
Who this covers
- Salon owners and managers who create a salon account.
- Salon staff who use the front desk app or the tech phone app.
- Salon clients whose visits a salon records in TLNA.
Each salon decides what client information to enter and is responsible for its own use of that information. For client data, TLNA acts as a service provider to the salon.
Information we collect
- Salon account: the owner's email address, the salon name, business hours, services and prices, and settings.
- Staff: name, role, commission rate, phone number (for the phone app), a profile photo if added, and a 4-digit PIN that is stored only in scrambled (hashed) form.
- Clients: name, and optionally phone number, email, birthday month, visit history, and whether the client agreed to receive texts or emails (with the date and how they agreed).
- Sales records: tickets, services, prices, discounts, tips, tax, payment type (card or cash), voids, refunds and their reasons, cash paid out, and day close totals.
- Activity log: sign-ins, approvals and changes, kept so the salon has an accurate record.
- Notifications: if a user turns on phone alerts, a notification token for that device.
What we do not collect
- Card numbers. Card payments are handled by the salon's card processor. Card numbers never pass through or get stored in TLNA.
- Location, contacts, camera or microphone data. A profile photo is used only if someone chooses one.
- Advertising or tracking data. TLNA has no ads and does not track people across other apps or websites.
How information is used
- To run the salon's front desk: checkout, check-in, turns, appointments, reports and exports.
- To let staff see their own appointments, tickets and earnings on their phone.
- To send notifications that staff or owners turn on.
- To keep accurate business and tax records for the salon.
- To provide support when a salon asks for help.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.
Who we share it with
Only the companies that host and run the service for us, under their own security and privacy terms:
- Supabase (database and sign-in), hosted in the United States.
- Vercel (app hosting).
- Apple, Google, Microsoft or Mozilla push services, only to deliver notifications a user turned on.
We may also share information if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Sales, void, refund and activity records are kept so salons can meet tax and record keeping rules (generally at least 4 years in Texas, and up to 7 years for IRS purposes). Salons can export their data at any time. When a salon closes its account, we keep business records for the required period and then delete them.
Security
Each salon's data is kept separate from every other salon's. Data is sent over encrypted connections. PINs are stored hashed. Sales cannot be deleted, and voids and refunds keep a record, which protects the salon against fraud and errors.
Your choices
- Clients can ask the salon to see, correct or delete their information, or to stop texts and emails.
- Staff can ask the salon owner to update or remove their profile and phone app access.
- Salon owners can export their data or ask us to delete their account by emailing us.
- Anyone can turn notifications off in their phone or computer settings.
Some sales records may need to be kept for the legal period even after a deletion request.
Children
TLNA is a business tool for salons. It is not meant for children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top and, for important changes, let salon owners know.
